Airsoft guns are remarkable facsimiles of real assault guns and pistols. They are made of plastic and shoot small plastic BBs or paintballs. There are many groups of people who use Airsoft guns in mock combat activities.

There a many types of Airsoft guns made for a wide range of customers. Kids usually are attracted to the lower-end models which can be bought at a reasonable price from sporting goods stores, Wal-Mart, and on eBay. The higher-end Airsoft guns are usually bought online. There are a few traditional brick and mortar stores that cater specifically to the Airsoft enthusiast.

Consider the following styles of Airsoft guns as you begin your search:

1. Airsoft Mini Electric Guns - These are automatic guns using 4 AA batteries to propel the bb. Great starter gun.

2. If you are looking to own a replica of an original gun, consider the spring Airsoft Pistols. They are single action guns that are great starter guns too.

3. Looking for something with a little more accuracy? Consider Airsoft Spring Rifles that are single shot.

4. Looking for something more realistic? Consider Gas Airsoft Guns that shoot a bb from using either CO2 or green gas.

5. Looking for a larger version of the mini electric airsoft guns? Consider AEGs or Airsoft Electrig guns that are made just like the mini electrics.
